As members of the Pest Control Operators of California, Inc., it shall be the duty of each member firm:

To support the association to the best of their ability in all of its programs and endeavors;

To abide by the Association's Bylaws;

To deal honestly and fairly with the general public in advertising and all business transactions, thereby enhancing our industry's stature;

To render pest control service in a safe and efficient manner with due consideration for its possible effects on the environment;

To respect the reputation and practice of other pest control operators, but to expose to the Association, without hesitation, the illegal or unethical conduct of other firms;

To constantly strive for proficiency in our services and business practices;

To cooperate with our fellow industry members in the exchange of knowledge for the benefit of our industry and the public it serves.

PCOC is Here for You

Pest Control Operators of California is a non-profit trade association that has served the business and educational needs of pest control operators for over 60 years.

PCOC keeps members up-to-date on new materials, procedures, laws and precautions -- and also works closely with the state's Structural Pest Control Board and Department of Pesticide Regulation to help shape regulations that protect the credibility of our industry and the safety of our customers. And we're the industry's voice at the State Capitol.

  • We successfully fought efforts to require costly pesticide notification before every application.

  • Three times we stopped legislation to prohibit the same company from doing the work recommended after performing a WDO.

  • We blocked efforts to require inspection of all work performed.

  • And we've helped improve consumer relations with Med-Net -- PCOC's 24-hour a day hotline that answers customer questions about the safe use of pesticides.

Protection Against Bad Laws

PCOC has clout at the State Capitol where our lobbyists work to protect our industry against unfair laws and over-regulation.
